Dr. Andre M Chevalier is Founder and Clinic Director of T.E.A.M. CLINIC SPORTS MEDICINE. He has completed the Certified Health & Fitness Instructor (CHFI) and the Team Physician programs of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), as well as the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) program of the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Board Certified by the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians (ABCSP), he is one of a small elite group of approximately 150 active specialists worldwide who have earned the highest academic designation of “Diplomate” or “DACBSP”.
Head Chiropractic Team Physician for all Division I Spartan Athletes at San Jose State University (SJSU), Dr. Chevalier is an Affiliate Clinical Instructor for the SJSU Department of Kinesiology since 1998 and for the Clinical Externship programs at Palmer College of Chiropractic West (PCCW) since 1996. He has also served as Examiner for the Part IV practical examination of the NBCE as well as Examiner for the practical examination of the ACBSP and as a written examination question reviewer for both Sports Programs. Since 1991, Dr. Chevalier has volunteered as event doctor and/or medical team coordinator for more than 150 local, national and international races & triathlons including the Escape from Alcatraz, San Jose International, CaliforniaMan and the IronMan World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He is currently the Medical Coordinator for many event production companies including USA Productions, Threshold Racing and Moshan Productions as well as a dedicated Sponsor of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society “Team in Training”.
Over the last 20 years Dr. Chevalier gained tremendous experience working with top athletes. He was selected as event chiropractic physician for the 1997 NHL All-Star & Celebrity games, the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup and 2001 MLS All Stars game. From 1998 until the team’s departure to Houston in 2006, Dr Chevalier was team chiropractic physician for the 2001 and 2003 MLS Champions, San Jose Earthquakes. Today Dr. Chevalier provides care to many NCAA, US Olympic, NFL, NHL, MLB and MLS athletes, coaches and referees. From Major League Soccer All Star and US Soccer National Team member Landon Donovan or Rock Star Legend Roger Daltry of “The Who” to KBAY Radio Personality Sam Van Zandt, some of the most successful athletes and performers have turned to Dr. Chevalier for his expert care. This year during the 2011 NFL Lockout, players from the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco Forty Niners who were unable to get access to their regular trainers and medical professionals turned to Dr. Chevalier. With the help of his team and his comprehensive approach, players were able to resolve new and old nagging aches or pains and be back on top of their game for pre-season camps.
